Technical Advisor – Bakery & Patisserie (Nairobi)

About the role

As a Technical Advisor based in Nairobi, you will join Puratos' growing R&D team to inspire and support bakery and patisserie customers across Kenya and East Africa. Reporting to the R&D Director, you will combine technical expertise with creativity to develop innovative finished‑goods and deliver state‑of‑the‑art solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical demonstrations, trainings, workshops and hands‑on support for customers.
• Develop innovative finished‑goods and recipes by tracking trends and tailoring product solutions.
• Promote Puratos focus products, strengthen existing partnerships and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with R&D, Sales and Marketing on new product development, testing and launch activities.
• Maintain a professional Innovation Center, ensure operational readiness and build strong customer networks.
• Create and manage a pastry recipe databank and support regional teams as needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years production experience in the food, bakery or patisserie sector.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Excellent people‑management, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Kenya.
• Ability to thrive in an international, multicultural environment.
• Self‑starter, strong team player with mastery of computer and tablet tools.
• Patisserie‑related certificates are a plus.
