Technical Director, Faith Integration & Programming

About the role

The Technical Director, Faith Integration & Programming provides strategic leadership to embed the Biblical Empowered Worldview (BEWV) across World Vision’s development, disaster management and sponsorship programmes. Based in Nairobi, the role works closely with sector leads, regional offices and field teams to strengthen Christian identity in programming.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the integration of BEWV principles in transformational development, future‑ready sponsorship and other sectors.
• Develop, update and champion tools, manuals and resources for faith‑based programming, including learning hubs for restricted contexts.
• Support field capacity building for faith integration in grants, resource acquisition and partnership strategies.
• Lead a small team, ensuring performance, development and collaborative relationships across multicultural environments.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Theology, Social Sciences or related field with formal theological training.
• 5‑7 years progressive experience in international development, including at least 5 years of field‑based experience with faith‑and‑development programmes.
• Proven experience managing multi‑country programmes and working with bilateral/multilateral donors.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural settings with high emotional intelligence.
