Technical Lead - AI EdTech in Emergencies

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the development and adaptation of AI‑enabled education technology for crisis‑affected populations. You will work within the INEE Secretariat, partnering with Fab AI and a global network of education stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead INEE’s partnership with Fab AI to expand the Quality Assurance Facility for AI‑enabled education technology in emergencies.
• Coordinate with INEE’s Secretariat, membership, and external stakeholders to define benchmarks and rapid evaluation methods for AI EdTech.
• Provide technical guidance on the design, testing, and implementation of AI‑driven learning tools that meet humanitarian standards.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and reporting to ensure alignment with INEE’s strategic framework.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical projects in AI, education technology, or related fields.
• Familiarity with humanitarian or emergency‑education contexts is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multi‑disciplinary teams and international networks.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in AI/ML concepts applied to education technology.
• Experience with quality‑assurance methodologies, benchmarking, and rapid evaluation.
• Project management skills for complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
