Technical Librarian (Facilities)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Technical Librarian (Facilities) based in Mombasa, Kenya. The role maintains a centralized technical library supporting facilities and infrastructure operations, keeping documents, blueprints, manuals and drawings current and accurately catalogued.

Key responsibilities

• Catalogue, maintain and issue technical documentation, including engineering drawings, equipment manuals, maintenance manuals and manufacturer data.
• Ensure compliance with library management standards through proper indexing, filing, storage and version control.
• Provide technical documentation and references to engineering, maintenance and operational personnel.
• Perform regular audits and updates so documents meet operational, organizational and Navy standards.
• Maintain document control processes and support electronic document management systems (EDMS).
• Develop and maintain library workflow procedures, including document retention, archive setup and security of controlled materials.
• Train staff and contractors on using the library and its electronic resources.
• Stay current on industry best practices and propose improvements.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience managing technical libraries, document control or equivalent roles in facilities management, engineering or related fields.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, operating manuals and maintenance records.
• Valid passport (at least one year's validity) and ability to travel internationally and obtain visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and speak, read and understand English.
• Prior OCONUS experience with a multi-national workforce, a valid country driver's licence and EDMS experience preferred.
