Technical Pre-Sales Executive

About the role

Career Directions Limited (CDL) is hiring a Technical Pre-Sales Executive in Nairobi. The role generates sales through desk research and prepares technical and commercial bids for tenders and customised electronic security solutions for clients' subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and approve the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) derived by the design team.
• Prepare detailed commercial proposals for projects.
• Design and prepare technical and commercial bids for tenders and customised electronic security solutions.
• Present solutions to potential clients and understand their requirements.
• Take clients on site visits and product demonstrations.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices, and follow applicable design standards and guidelines.
• Perform other duties assigned by the HOD or management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and/or MBA in Marketing or Engineering; sales and marketing professional courses are an added advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience as a pre-sales personnel.
• Ability to meet sales targets within deadlines, strong strategic, analytical and organisational skills, and willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, design workshops and industry events.

Required skills

• Very good command of MS Office packages, with advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of security management solutions such as entrance control, access control, fire alarm, intrusion alarm, CCTV and BMS systems is an added advantage.
