Technical Support Intern

About the role

Sauti Contact Center, a provider of call center services based in Nairobi, is looking for a Technical Support Intern. This is an unpaid internship with potential for paid employment after 3 months. The intern supports technical tasks through research, troubleshooting, data entry, system monitoring and updates, in a hands-on call center environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research to support technical projects and initiatives.
• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues reported by clients or internal staff.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into systems and databases.
• Support technical personnel, including hardware and software installation and configuration.
• Monitor systems and platforms for performance and reliability, escalating issues as needed.
• Assist with software updates, patches and system maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to improve technical processes and workflows.

Required profile

• Student currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar technical field.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, IT concepts, software development practices, operating systems, web technologies, database management, cybersecurity basics and cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment; prior technical internship or experience is a plus.
