About the role
The University is seeking a Technologist III (Grade 6) to support its agricultural programmes. The role involves providing technical expertise to commercial farming activities, student practical training, research trials and community outreach.
Required profile
- Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Technology, Farm Management or related field, or a Certificate in the same fields together with KCSE or equivalent.
- Three to five years’ experience as a Trainee Technologist or in a comparable position.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct and exemplary work performance.
- Computer literacy.
Required skills
- Technical expertise in crop production, horticulture and greenhouse management.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, nursery management and pest control.
- Experience with dry‑land farming, climate‑smart agriculture and agribusiness.
