Trainer I MTOT

About the role

Bandari Maritime Academy is recruiting a Trainer I MTOT in Nairobi (Westlands). The post reports to the Senior Trainer MTOT and covers training and capacity-building work in maritime transport and logistics. The position is permanent and pensionable.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing and delivering training and capacity-building programmes in maritime transport and logistics and related areas.
• Assist in developing instructional materials for training.
• Assist in implementing training programmes according to the set syllabus.
• Support setting, administering and marking of examinations.
• Support trainees' practical sessions in trade projects and business plan development.
• Assist in developing institutional training policies.
• Assist in developing and reviewing curriculum and syllabus.
• Assist in workshop record keeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transport and Logistics, International Freight Management, Maritime Law and Policy, Shipping Management and Logistics, Port Management, Clearing and Forwarding, or Maritime/Business Management from a recognised university.
• Relevant working experience is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications.

What we offer

• Basic salary scale of Kshs. 42,500 to 80,000 per month.
• House allowance of Kshs. 10,000.
• Commuter allowance of Kshs. 12,000.
• Leave allowance of Kshs. 4,000 annually.
