Transport Supervisor – Fleet Management

About the role

Twyford International is looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to manage its own vehicle fleet, ensuring safe, compliant and cost‑effective transportation operations across Kajiado and occasional support for Kisumu.

Key responsibilities

• Manage processing, renewal and maintenance of all statutory licences, permits and documentation for company‑owned vehicles.
• Plan and optimise transportation routes, monitor schedules, delivery timelines and vehicle utilisation.
• Oversee daily inspection, maintenance and servicing, establish preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
• Monitor and control fleet operating costs, prepare budgets and conduct cost analysis per vehicle.
• Lead driver team management including recruitment, performance assessment and safety training.
• Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures in collaboration with management.
• Handle accident reporting, investigations and insurance claim follow‑up.
• Prepare regular fleet operation reports covering utilisation, maintenance, costs and driver performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, Vehicle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in transport, fleet or logistics operations, with at least two years managing a fleet of 30 + vehicles.

• Knowledge of Kenyan vehicle registration, inspection and transport licensing requirements.

• Spare parts, tyres and maintenance consumables management.
• Fleet budgeting and cost control.
• Driver recruitment, interviewing and road testing.
• Driver performance management and safety training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for records, cost analysis and reporting.
• Experience using TMS, GPS tracking or fleet management systems.
