Treasury Dealer

About the role

The Treasury Dealer will execute the bank’s foreign exchange (FX) business strategy by engaging directly with designated clients and collaborating with internal teams to grow FX income. This role involves managing FX transactions, monitoring exposure, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate calls with designated clients to understand their FX requirements and plans.
• Execute FX deals with designated clients as mandated by the bank.
• Generate and release deal tickets promptly to relevant stakeholders.
• Track transaction volumes and income to evaluate business performance.
• Coordinate client visits and circulate visit reports for follow‑up actions.
• Monitor real‑time FX exposure to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare and circulate FX rates for branch staff while adhering to the bank’s mark‑up policy.
• Post all known transactions onto the blotter for reconciliation with iMAL.
• Ensure strict adherence to the Kenya FX Code and other internal policies.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in a business‑related field.
• ACI – Financial Market Association Certificate.
• Dealership experience in foreign exchange.
• Knowledge of the Kenya Foreign Exchange Code.
