Underwriting Graduate Trainee

About the role

Fortune Technologies Limited’s client, a leading insurance company, is looking for a Graduate Trainee to join the underwriting team in the Accident & Health department. The trainee will support senior underwriters in evaluating new and renewal business while developing professional relationships with producers.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business under supervision of a Senior Underwriter and capture risk information in the appropriate systems.
• Assist senior underwriters with quotes, queries and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, producers and business intermediaries to support cross‑sell initiatives.
• Manage assigned accounts, ensuring efficient document workflow and adherence to internal service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with business rules, regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.

Required profile

• University graduate with a degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Business Studies or a related field.
• Graduated within the last two years.
• Progress towards a Diploma in Insurance is an advantage.
• Previous exposure to an insurance environment is a plus.
