Vehicle Condition Inspector

About the role

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Vehicle Condition Inspector to join its growing team. You will be the face of the company, providing accurate vehicle assessments and helping customers understand the condition of each vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off‑lease locations.
• Identify damage, missing parts, and mechanical issues, and document findings.
• Prepare detailed condition reports, including repair cost estimates and photographic evidence.
• Upload reports and images to the ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers and sales teams to upsell services.
• Build and maintain relationships with dealers and independent buyers.
• Travel to various sites and perform inspections in all weather conditions.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in the automobile field (body, paint, or mechanical repair).
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift 25 lb+, and work outdoors.
