Vehicle Maintenance Analyst

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Analyst to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia, overseeing maintenance and repair operations for a large fleet of military and civilian vehicles and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute vehicle maintenance and recovery operations in line with contract requirements, company policies, government regulations, and military standards.
• Manage administration, maintenance, and distribution of publications, warranties, and required documentation such as LTDD and ECOD reports.
• Ensure assets are properly utilized, odometer readings are up‑to‑date, and data is entered into the computerized maintenance management system.
• Coordinate with managers, military personnel, suppliers, and vendors for warranty issues and asset cross‑leveling to meet scheduled maintenance timelines.
• Implement budgeting, analysis, and reporting for the maintenance operation, track burn rates, maintain stock levels, and maximize cost avoidance.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years of logistics support experience with at least three years in a maintenance management role using GCSS‑Army.
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas and facility credentials.
• Ability to meet medical, security, and deployment requirements for a remote overseas location.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of maintenance and supply principles, US military maintenance support systems, and GCSS‑Army Maintenance Business Area.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and equipment parts acquisition processes.
• Experience with warranty, LTDD, and ECOD submissions.
• Familiarity with applicable standards and regulations such as DOT, OSHA, ANSI, OEM, and Military Standards.
