Video Production Consultant for P4F East Africa Introductory Video

About the role

The Partnerships for Forests (P4F) East Africa programme is seeking a professional Video Production Consultant to create an introductory video that showcases the programme’s vision, strategic priorities, and impact across East Africa. The consultant will deliver both short social‑media reels and a longer version for stakeholder and donor engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Review P4F East Africa strategy and communication plan to grasp the narrative.
• Develop creative concepts, script outlines and storyboards for short (60‑90 seconds) and long (5‑7 minutes) videos in collaboration with the communications officer.
• Prepare a production schedule, shot list and identify filming locations (primarily Nairobi and potential field sites in Kenya).
• Obtain all necessary filming permissions and secure informed consent from participants.
• Conduct on‑site filming, including interviews with team members, Phase I partners and b‑roll footage.
• Provide and operate all required filming equipment (camera, lighting, sound).
• Edit footage into two short reels and one long version, delivering final files ready for digital platforms.

Required profile

• Proven experience in video production for development or environmental programmes.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with P4F staff on creative direction.
• Familiarity with obtaining filming permits and safeguarding participant consent.
• Strong understanding of sustainable forestry, nature‑based enterprises, and stakeholder communication.
