Voter Protection Associate

About the role

Project 26 Pennsylvania is expanding its Voter Protection team for the 2026 election cycle. The Voter Protection Associate will help protect and expand youth voting by working directly with young voters, campus stakeholders, and county governments across Pennsylvania.

Key responsibilities

• Track election administration details at the county level, including voter registration specifics for assigned regions.
• Prepare for and attend public county meetings within the designated territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at county, campus, and state levels.
• Lead research projects to inform 2026 voter‑education materials and assist in designing messaging for direct voter contact.
• Provide strategic feedback, support voter‑registration quality‑control and training programs, and spend time in the field as needed.
• Manage the Voter Protection Fellow team, recruit, train, and deploy volunteers for field and remote outreach (calls, texts).
• Coordinate regularly with Voter Protection leadership and other departments.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in democracy work, campaign organizing, or issue advocacy.
• At least 1 year managing direct reports or volunteers.
• Familiarity with Pennsylvania elections and a strong interest in youth voter protection.
• Experience voting on campus and engaging peers on civic issues.
• Motivation to increase youth voter turnout in 2026.

Required skills

• Proficiency with VAN (Voter Activation Network).
• Experience using ScaleToWin for outreach and data management.
