Warehouse Controller (M/F)

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) now part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Warehouse Controller in Nairobi. The role supports the Commodity Warehouse Manager by ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, effective warehouse planning, accurate inventory control and cost-conscious operations. It is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Update and ensure WMS transactions are kept up to date.
• Compare physical tally with the authorised release and validate dispatch documentation.
• Check that each transaction is posted against the correct client, lot and mark.
• Support warehouse planning, layout and storage optimisation to maximise space use.
• Monitor warehouse activities for efficiency, accuracy and compliance.
• Act as the Warehouse Manager's deputy when required.
• Ensure all operations follow approved SOPs and internal controls.
• Support corrective actions arising from audit findings and help implement digitisation and automation initiatives.
• Review inventory variance and stock aging reports and escalate findings to the Warehouse Manager.
• Communicate operational issues and their resolutions clearly.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably with coffee.
• Familiarity with health, safety and fire regulations in warehouse settings.
