Accountant – Events Management Company (Nairobi)

About the role

Our client, a leading events management company in Nairobi, is looking for a highly competent Accountant to oversee all financial operations. The role ensures accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, effective cash‑flow management and strong internal controls to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash‑flow statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, optimise liquidity and implement working‑capital strategies.
• Conduct financial analysis and cost reviews to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Manage accounts receivable, invoicing cycles, revenue tracking and creditor payments.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and maintain relationships with banking institutions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Assist with internal and external audits and implement recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Professional qualification: CPA (K) or CPA finalist.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in events or hospitality.
