Assistant Product Manager – Splunk/Symantec/Illumio

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Product Manager to support the alignment, go‑to‑market execution and channel development of Splunk, Symantec and Illumio solutions across East Africa. You will work closely with senior product leaders, vendors and internal sales teams to drive growth in the cybersecurity and observability portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Splunk, Symantec and Illumio vendors to align business priorities, pipelines and growth targets.
• Assist in executing GTM plans, including promotions, campaigns, pricing support and demand‑generation activities.
• Contribute to product lifecycle management, forecasting, pipeline tracking and performance reporting.
• Help build and expand the partner/channel ecosystem by onboarding, enabling and supporting resellers and system integrators.
• Coordinate sales activities, pipeline development and deal progression with internal sales teams.
• Support partner enablement sessions, trainings and certifications for Splunk, Symantec and Illumio solutions.
• Assist in quarterly business reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare business reports, dashboards and insights on revenue, margins and product performance.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in product management, vendor management or cybersecurity/IT solutions.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of Splunk, Symantec and Illumio product suites.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and enterprise technology solutions.
• Good grasp of GTM strategies, sales processes and channel business models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proactive mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
