Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology

About the role

The University seeks an Associate Professor to teach and lead in Clinical Psychology at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to academic excellence and student development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in Clinical Psychology.
• Support and mentor students in their academic and career pursuits.
• Participate in curriculum development to keep programs current and marketable.
• Engage in program assessment and periodic reviews.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct research in your area of expertise.
• Provide service to the university, the professional community, and the broader public.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or equivalent) in Psychology from an accredited university.
• Prior teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral level.
• Publication record meeting CUE Standards & Guidelines (2014).
• Registration with the Counselors and Psychologists Board of Kenya (or relevant professional body).
• Supervision of postgraduate students is an advantage.
