Behavior Analyst – Community Homes

About the role

Springbrook is seeking a qualified Behavior Analyst to lead the development and implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with challenging behaviors in community home settings. This hybrid role combines on‑site work three days a week with remote responsibilities and may involve occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional behavior assessments (direct and indirect) and conduct regular behavior observations across environments.
• Develop, implement, and adjust behavior support plans using ethical behavior‑analysis practices.
• Create and manage data‑collection systems, graph and analyze behavioral data, and document progress in clinical notes.
• Collaborate with treatment team members to set behavioral goals for IEPs, residential, or day‑habitat plans.
• Provide direct care and model interventions for staff, respond to crisis calls, and assist with behavioral emergencies.
• Supervise BCBAs in training, consult with other professionals, and serve as a resource on psychology‑related issues.
• Participate in team meetings, psychiatric appointments, and use the Human Rights Committee for restrictive interventions when needed.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about participants’ behavioral status and obtain required approvals.

Required profile

• BCBA or NY LBA certification with a Master’s degree.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license and meet Springbrook vehicle requirements.
