Bobtail Driver – LPG Delivery

About the role

We are seeking a safety‑conscious Bobtail Driver to deliver LPG from our Kabati plant to customers across Kenya. The role combines vehicle operation, strict compliance with HSE procedures, and real‑time reporting via a mobile application.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the plant at 6 AM for assigned shifts and conduct pre‑trip checks, including tears, gross weights and statutory licence verification.
• Drive the Bobtail truck in accordance with the Kenya Traffic Act, delivering LPG to customer locations safely and on schedule.
• Submit real‑time delivery reports through the company mobile app and map customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks, support the maintenance and engineering teams, and ensure vehicle cleanliness and accessory readiness (first‑aid kit, fire extinguisher, tool kit).
• Observe all HSE policies, SOPs and KPIs, reporting any accidents or incidents immediately.
• Maintain accurate documentation of licences, permits, insurance and inspection certificates.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years driving experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Valid Class CD/CE Kenyan driving licence and EPRA licence.
• KCSE certificate and Defensive Driving Certificate.
• Certificate of good conduct.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and be on call when required.
• Strong integrity, resilience and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in GPS navigation using smartphones.
• Experience with mobile‑app based reporting.
• Defensive driving techniques.
