Cashier – Customer Payments & Financial Controls

About the role

Asyana Gardens Limited is seeking a professional, trustworthy, and detail‑oriented Cashier to join the team in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County. The role involves accurately processing customer payments, maintaining transaction records, reconciling collections, and supporting strong financial controls across operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process mobile money, card and other approved payments.
• Issue receipts and ensure every transaction is properly recorded.
• Perform accurate end‑of‑shift/day reconciliations.
• Maintain proper accountability for payment instruments.
• Verify bills and payment documentation before closing transactions.
• Identify and promptly report discrepancies, shortages or unusual transactions.
• Prepare and submit accurate cashier reports and supporting documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal cash‑handling and financial‑control procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and high standards of integrity at all times.
• Provide courteous and professional service to guests.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Previous cashiering experience, preferably within a hotel, restaurant, retail or other high‑volume environment.
• Good numerical and reconciliation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Demonstrable honesty, integrity and accountability.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
