Chicken Field Sales Representative

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chicken Field Sales Representative to promote and sell our broiler chicken products to hotels, restaurants, cafés, caterers and other bulk buyers in the Kitengela area. The role involves active field work, building relationships and achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers in the HORECA sector and other chicken/meat markets.
• Visit customers and prospects in the field to generate orders and grow sales.
• Present and promote the company’s broiler chicken products.
• Negotiate prices, volumes and payment terms within approved guidelines.
• Maintain a strong customer pipeline through regular prospecting and follow‑ups.
• Monitor competitor activities, pricing and market trends and report to management.
• Coordinate with operations and distribution teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, leads, orders and sales performance.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and support customer retention.
• Provide regular sales reports and market intelligence to the Sales Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science, Agriculture or related field (advantageous).
• At least 2 years of proven field sales experience, preferably in HORECA, food, meat, poultry or FMCG.
• Demonstrated ability to sell to hotels, restaurants, cafés, caterers or institutional customers.
• Existing relationships or strong network within the HORECA sector is highly advantageous.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
