Companion – Remote Chat Operator

About the role

Social Discovery Group is seeking Companions – remote chat operators who will engage users across its social discovery platforms. You will help reduce loneliness by delivering warm, natural, and emotionally aware conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with users via chat, maintaining active and engaging dialogues.
• Respond quickly while keeping conversations natural, warm, and consistent.
• Adapt communication style to different users, moods, and intents.
• Help users feel heard, involved, and emotionally engaged.
• Follow internal communication guidelines and report any issues.
• Handle a high volume of routine chat interactions while staying focused and reliable.

Required profile

• Fluent written English; additional languages (e.g., French, Spanish) are a plus.
• Strong text‑based communication skills with an ability to keep conversations engaging.
• Comfortable using a PC, smartphone, messaging apps, and basic office tools.
• Ready for routine, high‑volume chat work and able to stay focused during shifts.
• Responsible, reliable, and able to follow an agreed work schedule.
• Open‑minded, stress‑resistant, and able to adapt based on feedback.
• Basic understanding of communication psychology or customer support is a plus.
