Compliance Officer – Unlocking Opportunities Project

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion is seeking a Compliance Officer to join the Unlocking Opportunities project in Nairobi. The role supports the Finance Manager by ensuring that preventive procedures are correctly applied and that the organization avoids risks linked to non‑compliance with internal rules, applicable regulations, and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement compliance controls across all project activities and sites.
• Support risk management by contributing to the development and updating of the programme’s risk maps.
• Verify that HI internal rules, standards and relevant regulations are consistently followed.
• Provide second‑level oversight to promote adherence to institutional policies, directives, procedures and contracts.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced professional in compliance or risk management.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
• Familiarity with humanitarian or development contexts is advantageous.
