Senior Manager, Finance & Operations

About the role

The Senior Manager, Finance & Operations will lead USP Kenya’s day‑to‑day financial, accounting, procurement, logistics and administrative functions. Reporting to GHMS Program Delivery, you will ensure transparent, compliant, and efficient management of donor‑funded projects while supporting the broader mission of advancing public health standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all finance, accounting, procurement, logistics and administrative activities for the Kenya office.
• Ensure compliance with USP, donor and local statutory requirements.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.
• Supervise finance and operations staff across locations, promoting consistent processes.
• Provide operational support to project teams, coordinating with USP HQ, Global Finance, HR, Legal, Compliance & Ethics, and Security.
• Facilitate effective project implementation and donor reporting.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance and operations management, preferably in donor‑funded or nonprofit environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of financial compliance, internal controls, and statutory reporting.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills across multiple functional areas.
