Consultant for End-Term Evaluation of Local Rights Programs

About the role

AAIK is seeking qualified consultants to conduct end‑term evaluations of four Local Rights Programs (LRPs) operating in Makima, Kathonzweni, Marafa and Elangatawuas, Kenya. The consultant will assess programme performance, impact and sustainability, and deliver a comprehensive evaluation report.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement an evaluation methodology aligned with ActionAid’s strategic objectives.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative data from programme beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders.
• Analyse data to measure outcomes against programme targets.
• Prepare a detailed evaluation report with findings, lessons learned and recommendations.
• Present results to AAIK and partner organisations and support knowledge‑sharing workshops.

Required profile

• University degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in conducting end‑term or impact evaluations of development programmes.
• Familiarity with community‑based projects in semi‑arid and rural Kenyan contexts.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
