Contract Agent FGIV – DG INTPA (Kenya)

About the role

The EU Directorate‑General for International Partnerships is seeking a Contract Agent (FGIV) to support its Global Gateway programme in Kenya. Working under the Head of Partnerships, you will help design, implement and monitor initiatives across the energy, transport and digital sectors, as well as governance‑related contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the identification, formulation and supervision of programmes aligned with the Global Gateway strategy.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring compliance with EU policies, guidelines and financial rules.
• Facilitate dialogue with Member States, national development banks, export credit agencies, private‑sector organisations and European financial institutions.
• Monitor and evaluate programme performance, preparing reports for senior management.
• Support the preparation of contractual documents and procurement procedures related to governance projects.

Required profile

• University degree relevant to economics, international relations, public policy or a related field.
• Experience in programme management, project coordination or policy analysis, preferably in an international or development context.
• Strong understanding of EU external action, public‑private partnership models and the Global Gateway objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
