Corporate Alliances Specialist – Fixed Term (P-3) – Nairobi

About the role

The Corporate Alliances Specialist (P-3) supports UNICEF’s multi‑country partnerships with the private sector. Reporting to the Senior Advisor for Public and Private Sector Partnerships, the role focuses on financial and non‑financial engagements that advance UNICEF’s programmatic goals across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and support to Country Offices in identifying, developing, and finalising financial and non‑financial partnerships, including those involving Child Rights and Business (CRB) initiatives.
• Conduct due‑diligence, pitch development, and negotiation, especially with sensitive industries such as extractives.
• Assist Country Offices in evidence generation, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of business engagement activities.
• Lead capacity‑building activities for regional partners and internal staff on partnership development and CRB processes.
• Support the participation of African companies, platforms, and associations in UNICEF’s partnership ecosystem.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working with private‑sector partners, preferably in international development or humanitarian contexts.
• Strong understanding of partnership development, due‑diligence, and negotiation processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across multiple countries.
