Sales and Marketing Officer

About the role

The Sales and Marketing Officer will drive revenue growth by achieving sales targets for a range of telecommunications solutions and supporting marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for products such as Bulk SMS, USSD, Short Codes, Bulk Data, Voice Solutions, Skiza Tunes and Payment Solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Generate and follow up on sales leads through direct sales, networking, referrals and digital channels.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing and prospective clients, conducting meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare quotations, contracts and sales reports, and support debt collection and payment follow‑up.
• Coordinate with ICT and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.
• Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns, including social media, online advertising and on‑ground activities such as roadshows and exhibitions.
• Monitor campaign performance, prepare ROI reports and develop promotional ideas for B2B and B2C products.
• Create marketing materials like brochures, presentations and banners, and gather customer feedback for product improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and marketing initiatives, and prepare regular performance reports.

Required profile

• College diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in sales and marketing, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and develop client relationships.
• Strong analytical skills for market research and campaign performance analysis.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
