Country Medical Director – Kenya

About the role

The Country Medical Director will lead AHN’s clinical operations across Kenya, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and patient‑centered dialysis care. Reporting to the Country Director and the Group Deputy Chief Medical Officer, this full‑time, on‑site role is based in Nairobi and drives clinical governance, innovation, and continuous quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, enhance and implement clinical programmes for chronic kidney disease patients in coordination with the DCMO.
• Lead the development of "Centers of Excellence" by applying international best practices in nephrology and dialysis.
• Spearhead digital health initiatives, including EMR integration and tele‑health platforms for remote monitoring.
• Direct the innovation pipeline by evaluating and piloting new medical technologies or treatment modalities.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and oversight to multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and cross‑functional leaders to improve patient outcomes and operational excellence.
• Drive clinical innovation, strengthen patient safety practices and support strategic growth of kidney‑care services.
