Maternal Neonatal Child Health (MNCH) Technical Advisor

About the role

The MNCH Technical Advisor will provide technical guidance for a four‑year, US$52.5 million Unitaid‑funded project that spans Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Senegal and Ghana. The role focuses on accelerating the uptake of lifesaving tools for the prevention, diagnosis and management of pre‑eclampsia and maternal anaemia.

Key responsibilities

• Offer technical expertise on maternal and newborn health, aligning project activities with global and consortium standards.
• Design and support person‑centred MNCH service delivery models for pre‑eclampsia and maternal anaemia.
• Integrate clinical models of care and quality‑assurance mechanisms into project design, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate closely with the Programme Manager, MERL Manager, consortium partners, country teams and Unitaid.
• Provide technical input on protocols, evidence‑based approaches and quality‑of‑care frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maternal and newborn health within low‑resource settings.
• Strong background in project intervention design, implementation research and quality assurance.
• Ability to work across multiple countries and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in MNCH clinical standards and protocols.
• Knowledge of person‑centred service delivery models.
