Critical Care Nurse

About the role

Oasis Healthcare Group Limited is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join its intensive care team in Westlands, Nairobi. You will provide specialised nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring safety and optimal clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in ICU/HDU.
• Continuously monitor vital signs and respond promptly to clinical changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies and blood products safely.
• Operate and supervise critical care equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors and infusion pumps.
• Assist in emergency procedures, resuscitation and advanced life‑support interventions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Implement infection‑prevention and patient‑safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Educate and support patients’ families about treatment plans.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Diploma or BSc in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with a valid Nursing Council of Kenya practising licence.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• At least two years of experience in ICU, HDU, Emergency Department or a similar critical‑care setting.
