Dentist – Hospital Clinical Role

About the role

The dentist will provide a full range of dental examinations, diagnoses and treatment procedures for patients at M.P. Shah Hospital, following established clinical protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations to gather history, symptoms and determine dental conditions.
• Prepare structured medical reports documenting findings, examinations and recommended treatments.
• Maintain and continuously monitor patient files and records.
• Assess test results and clinical information to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Plan and deliver appropriate dental treatments and evaluate service quality.
• Adhere to health and safety policies for instrument handling, drug storage and waste disposal.
• Educate patients on oral health, disease prevention and risk‑factor management.
• Train graduate trainees and dental assistants during their post‑medical training.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent.
• Practising licence from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar hospital dental position.
• Continuous Professional Development (CPD) participation.
• Emergency training (ACLS) certification.
