Detailer – Door & Hardware Scheduling Specialist

About the role

CBX Solutions is seeking a Detailer to produce accurate, code‑compliant door and hardware schedules and to coordinate opening requirements throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves preparing submittals, shop drawings, and supporting documentation to ensure projects meet quality, compliance, and timeline expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review sales sheets, purchase orders, plans, and specifications for accuracy.
• Detail and schedule openings, materials, and hardware in line with contract documents, local codes, and customer expectations.
• Verify product costs, enter them during scheduling, and compare to estimates to maintain budget alignment.
• Prepare submittals, shop drawings, schedules, and supporting documentation using Comsense and company‑issued software.
• Create detailed elevations and sections as needed for submittals.
• Identify and communicate discrepancies or compliance concerns with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Update and resubmit submittals, coordinating ordering with Project or Location Managers.
• Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, and Project Management to ensure smooth phase transitions.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in door, frame, hardware, or similar construction detailing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with building codes, ADA, UL, NFPA, and related industry standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Comsense software.
• Door and hardware detailing expertise.
