East Africa Cluster Lead – Senior Project Manager

About the role

The East Africa Cluster Lead / Senior Project Manager will act as the on‑ground delivery anchor for a multinational banking client’s commercial offices and retail branches across Kenya and the wider East Africa region. Reporting to the PM Delivery Lead, you will lead end‑to‑end real‑estate project delivery while managing a small delivery team and key stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Own full project lifecycle – programme, budget, quality, scope, procurement and risk – for retail banking and commercial office projects.
• Develop client briefs, Project Execution Plans and master cost plans; lead design teams and coordinate regulatory approvals.
• Administer complex contracts, manage tender processes, negotiate and award contracts, and ensure contractor compliance.
• Monitor schedules, budgets and change orders, delivering projects within risk, sustainability and environmental guidelines.
• Lead and develop a small East Africa delivery team, providing line management for one Project Manager and oversight of third‑party resources.
• Serve as primary point of contact for the client and regional stakeholders, handling relationship management and expectation setting.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering multi‑disciplinary real‑estate projects in Kenya or East Africa.
• Strong track record of managing budgets, contracts and regulatory processes.
• Ability to lead small teams and coordinate third‑party resources.
• Excellent stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
