Fleet Manager – Nationwide Vehicle Oversight

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead the management, maintenance, and optimisation of our vehicle fleet across Kenya. The role involves ensuring all vehicles are road‑worthy, cost‑effective, and compliant with NTSA regulations while maintaining high availability for business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a mixed fleet of 4x4 (Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D‑Max, Nissan X‑Trail) and 2x4 vehicles (Toyota Probox, saloon cars).
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate timely servicing and repairs.
• Maintain strong relationships with mechanics, garages, and service providers nationwide.
• Ensure full compliance with NTSA vehicle inspections, licensing, insurance, and road‑safety standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly fleet performance, maintenance cost, and fuel consumption reports using Excel.
• Monitor fuel usage, identify inefficiencies, and implement cost‑control measures.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and oversee driver performance and training.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, coordinating rapid resolutions to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a similar role within Kenya.
• Hands‑on knowledge of both 4x4 and 2x4 vehicle types.
• Established network of reliable mechanics and garages across major towns.
• Strong understanding of NTSA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent reporting and analytical abilities.

• Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, formulas, and dashboard creation).
