Frontend Engineer Intern

About the role

Blue Oak Consulting is seeking a Frontend Engineer Intern to help build web interfaces for internal financial analysis tools. Working remotely, you will collaborate with technical leads and advisory teams to turn complex financial data into clear, interactive visualizations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user interfaces for internal tools using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Translate financial models and data visualizations into functional web components.
• Collaborate remotely with advisors to understand pricing data workflows.
• Write clean, documented code and participate in peer reviews.
• Identify and fix interface bugs to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Assist in designing responsive dashboards that highlight capital allocation trends and portfolio risks.
• Participate in weekly remote sync meetings to discuss progress and technical challenges.

Required profile

• Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree related to Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Strong discipline and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Interest in financial data, analytics, and visualization.

Required skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience building responsive web interfaces.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
