Fullstack Engineer (AI Agentic Development)

About the role

AfCEN is seeking a Fullstack Engineer specialized in AI Agentic Development to join its hybrid team in Nairobi. You will create end‑to‑end web applications and build autonomous AI agents that perform real‑world tasks, supporting the organization’s climate‑positive initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back‑end services and responsive front‑end interfaces.
• Build, orchestrate, and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows in production environments.
• Integrate AI/ML models into live applications, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver intelligent, agent‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Proven full‑stack development experience, delivering complete solutions from server‑side architecture to UI.
• Hands‑on expertise with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Vue or similar), HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI agents in production.
• Strong grasp of software development best practices: testing, debugging, CI/CD, and lifecycle management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Domain knowledge in finance, accounting, or economics is a strong advantage.
