Fundraising Strategy Consultant for Oxfam Kenya

About the role

Oxfam Kenya is seeking an experienced fundraising consultant to design and integrate a comprehensive five‑year fundraising strategy. The role will focus on expanding public fundraising channels while aligning with existing institutional, corporate, and philanthropic efforts, supporting Oxfam Kenya’s transition to an autonomous national affiliate.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a detailed Public Fundraising Market Analysis of the Kenyan landscape.
• Develop a contextualised Public Fundraising Strategy based on market insights.
• Create an integrated 5‑year Fundraising Strategy that combines public, institutional, corporate, trust, and foundation funding.
• Provide actionable recommendations on regulatory compliance, infrastructure needs, and market positioning.
• Collaborate with Oxfam Kenya leadership to ensure strategy ownership and alignment with the OKE Strategy 2026‑2031.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fundraising strategy development for NGOs or development organisations.
• Deep understanding of the Kenyan public fundraising environment and regulatory framework.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate market data into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
