General Manager - Lodge and Conference Venue

About the role

Our client, a lodge and conference/event venue, is seeking an experienced, commercially driven and guest‑focused General Manager to lead overall operations and strategic growth. The role oversees guest experience, operational standards, financial performance and team engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all lodge departments, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and compliance with health, safety and hospitality standards.
• Champion exceptional, personalised guest experiences, monitor satisfaction, manage feedback and drive initiatives that increase repeat business.
• Develop and execute the annual commercial plan, drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and profitability, and identify new revenue opportunities across accommodation, F&B, events and ancillary services.
• Maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, corporates and online travel platforms, and work with Sales & Marketing to enhance market positioning.
• Take full accountability for financial performance, budgeting, cost control and profitability of the lodge.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior hospitality management, preferably within lodge or conference venue settings.
• Commercially minded with a track record of driving revenue growth and profitability.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Commitment to delivering high service standards and continuous improvement.
