About the role

BURN is seeking a Head of External Affairs to lead government relations, policy and partnership initiatives across its African markets. Reporting to the Global Director of External Affairs, the role oversees a team of seven or more and translates strategic objectives into on‑the‑ground execution.

Key responsibilities

Secure and protect host‑country authorisations, regulatory approvals and bilateral arrangements (LoAs, Article 6.2, Article 6.4, CORSIA eligibility, voluntary market authorisations) to enable carbon credit issuance.
Negotiate and defend tax, duty, VAT and incentive frameworks to maximise fiscal competitiveness and product accessibility.
Coordinate and develop a high‑performing in‑country external affairs team across Africa, ensuring consistent standards and effective day‑to‑day operations.
Strengthen country presences and maintain alignment with the Global Director’s overall strategy.

Required profile

Diploma or Associate’s degree.
