About the role
The Human Resources Officer will provide high‑quality HR services to UNODC field units across Africa, Europe and Asia. Working under the direct supervision of an HR specialist, the officer ensures compliance with UNOPS policies and UN regulations while supporting recruitment, contract management and employee relations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver HR services to UNODC field offices, including recruitment, onboarding and contract administration.
- Ensure all HR processes comply with UNOPS policies, UN rules and internal SOPs.
- Provide solutions to complex HR issues in a client‑oriented manner.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support the preparation of HR reports.
- Collaborate with the HR specialist and other units to continuously improve HR service delivery.
Required profile
- Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of relevant HR experience.
- Eligible to work in Kenya and hold nationality of an African, European or Asian country, or possess a valid residence/work permit.
- Ability to work under supervision and adapt to varying unit needs.
