About the role
The Information Management Intern will be based in Nairobi and will support DRC’s Information Management Team in strengthening data management, analysis, visualization and reporting across regional and country programmes. Working under supervision, the intern will help maintain information systems, ensure data quality, and contribute to evidence‑based decision‑making in a humanitarian context.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and update information management systems, databases and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain data collection tools, templates and supporting documentation.
- Provide first‑level support to staff using information management tools and escalate technical issues.
- Collect, clean, organize and validate data from multiple programme sources.
- Prepare routine reports, dashboards, maps and data visualisations for internal and external use.
- Assist in analysing programme data to generate insights for decision‑making.
- Support GIS and spatial data management activities where applicable.
- Help standardise information management processes across projects and departments.
