International Curriculum Teacher (Cambridge/IGCSE)

About the role

The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality, engaging and age‑appropriate learning experiences within an international curriculum, supporting the academic, personal and co‑curricular development of learners in Kiambu.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons appropriate to learners' age, ability and curriculum requirements.
• Develop learners' knowledge, skills, creativity, confidence and independent learning abilities.
• Use appropriate teaching strategies, resources and assessment methods to support learner progress.
• Assess and monitor learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify individual learner strengths, learning needs and areas requiring additional support.
• Maintain appropriate records of learner progress and achievement.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well‑managed learning environment.
• Participate in departmental, school‑wide and co‑curricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and continuous improvement of teaching and learning.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education or relevant teaching qualification.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience.
• Demonstrated experience teaching within the Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum (Key Stage 1‑4).
• Strong subject knowledge in English & Literature, History, CRE, Kiswahili, French or Music, depending on the specific teaching area.
• Ability to prepare learners for examinations while developing deeper understanding and transferable skills.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and safeguarding awareness.
