Knowledge Management & Advocacy Consultant – Health Financing

About the role

The Knowledge Management and Advocacy Consultant will provide specialised expertise to strengthen UNICEF's newly established Health Economics and Financing (HEF) Section. Working remotely, the consultant will support the consolidation, communication and advocacy of evidence that drives child health financing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide knowledge‑management expertise to organise, govern and make HEF evidence readily accessible.
• Translate HEF evidence into clear, consistent messaging for internal and external audiences.
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies that increase visibility, partnerships and investment in child health financing.
• Support the HEF Specialists Placement Initiative (HEF SPI) and related capacity‑building activities for UNICEF staff.
• Produce a defined set of knowledge‑management, communications and advocacy outputs as outlined in the assignment.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in knowledge management, communications and advocacy within health economics or financing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with UNICEF staff and external partners.
• Familiarity with child health priorities and the UNICEF strategic focus on "Financing to Scale".
