Lead Application Engineer

About the role

The Lead Application Engineer will drive continuous optimisation of hospital IT operations and spearhead the implementation of a new Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). This senior position combines strategic oversight of core systems with hands‑on technical leadership to ensure reliability, security and performance across all digital services.

Key responsibilities

• Champion continuous improvement of hospital operations through optimisation of systems, networks and databases.
• Lead the design, architecture and integration of the new HMIS, ensuring seamless Go‑live and minimal disruption.
• Oversee quality‑assurance processes, performance testing and data‑security measures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate complex business workflows and enhance product features.
• Provide technical guidance to IT staff and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with at least 12 years of hands‑on experience.
• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including system implementation, architecture and security.
• At least 5 years in a management role overseeing strategic IT planning.
• Proven track record of improving software quality and reducing regression cycles.
