Legal Compliance Officer

About the role

The Legal Compliance Officer will ensure that DHIIN DHIIN operates in full accordance with Kenyan laws and regulatory requirements. This role involves advising management, drafting legal documents, and supporting the company during audits and inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor changes in Kenyan legislation and advise on business impact.
• Draft, review, negotiate and maintain contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Develop, implement and monitor compliance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Conduct periodic legal and compliance audits and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain statutory records, compliance registers and ensure timely renewal of licences and permits.
• Liaise with external counsel, regulatory authorities and government agencies.
• Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, employment and regulatory matters.
• Deliver legal and compliance awareness training to employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in legal compliance, corporate legal affairs or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan corporate, commercial, labour and regulatory laws.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
