Member of Technical Staff – Robotics Lab (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Member of Technical Staff for a Robotics Lab to work remotely on designing, developing, and deploying autonomous robotic systems. The role focuses on scalable autonomy, real‑time control, and integration of hardware and software for next‑generation platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement control algorithms, including kinematics, dynamics, and path planning.
• Develop software for perception, localization, and mapping using sensor fusion.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate sensors, actuators, and embedded systems into functional prototypes.
• Optimize robot performance for efficiency, reliability, and safety in dynamic environments.
• Document technical specifications, test results, and deployment procedures for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS or ROS 2.
• Background in real‑time control systems, embedded software, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Knowledge of computer vision, SLAM, and sensor‑fusion techniques.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (Gazebo, CoppeliaSim, NVIDIA Isaac Sim) and communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDP).
