Merchandiser – Retail (Nakuru, Kakamega, Nairobi)

About the role

The Merchandiser will ensure product visibility and availability across retail outlets in Nakuru, Kakamega and Nairobi. You will work closely with store managers and the sales team to maintain merchandising standards and support sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned retail outlets according to the planned route.
• Arrange and display products following company merchandising standards.
• Keep shelves stocked, organized and ensure products are clean, properly labeled and within expiry dates where applicable.
• Monitor stock levels, report low or out‑of‑stock items and check pricing, promotions and shelf visibility.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff.
• Collect market intelligence on competitor activities and customer feedback.
• Prepare daily merchandising and stock reports.
• Support promotional campaigns and in‑store marketing activities.

Required profile

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Previous experience in merchandising, retail or FMCG is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet assigned targets.
• Physically fit and willing to travel within the assigned territories.
• Basic computer literacy and report‑writing skills.
• High level of integrity, reliability and attention to detail.
